As a matter of fact, I wouldn’t recommend going much higher unless you know how much you gain on average from each visitor. Once you have an account, you select words that people might search for when they are looking for your product, and bid on them. Google will tell you where your average listing ranking will be depending on your bid amount and competition. Once you have created your ad, Google will begin serving it when people search for the ‘Adwords’ you selected. Every time someone clicks on your ad, you will be charged your bid amount or lower (depending on what your competitors bid for the same Adwords).
Don’t underestimate the power of pay per click advertising. Google took a risk in doing their advertising this way and it has paid off for both Google and the consumer. It has made advertising and Internet businesses accessible to the every day Joe.
