Ezines can be very powerful. Ezines are newsletters that have been subscribed to by interested readers. If you can find an ezine related to your product or service, this can be an invaluable resource for you. I have outlined some tips to ezine marketing.

Ezines Provide A Target Rich Environment For Your Product

Firstly, you need to find an ezine that is actually read. If nobody reads the ezine, your advertising just simply won’t work. With good readership, and quality content, your advertising is at least getting to people’s eyes. Additionally, you need to make sure the ezine has an audience that would be interested in your product. This sounds elementary, but you would be shocked at how many people make the mistake of putting effort into the wrong channels.

This isn’t all. The next section deals with picking the proper ezine and advertising in it properly.

Picking The Right Ezine and Advertising Properly

If you choose to do ezine marketing, follow these steps to help ensure effective actions and positive results:

  • Make sure the ezine is good quality. Probably the best way to do this would be to read it yourself, maybe subscribe so that you can see and read it for yourself. Ask yourself if you would read it. If not, don’t do it. If yes, then…
  • Find out info about the ezine such as it’s subscriber base, article acceptance, and advertising costs.
  • Make sure that the ezine only has a few ads. If there are too many ads, what is the point of being lost in commercials?
  • Ask the editor or write of the ezine if they can mention your product in the newsletter. These are the best kinds of ezine advertising because it doesn’t seem like an advertisement. This will make more people take your product seriously. This is standard practice in all advertising mediums, not just the Internet. The editor might refuse, but if you offer a sample of your product or service for free, they might accept.
  • If there is any way at all possible, see if you can get your advertisement at or near the top. The further down the newsletter that your ad appears, the less likely it is to be read.
  • If you offer to write an article for an ezine, this might be an excellent way to promote your product or service. Sometimes the most welcome advice is straight from the maker of the product or service!
