Making money requires effort

Whatever you decide to do, please keep in mind, you will only get out of this venture what you put in. There are millions of get rich quick schemes in the world. But if you ask anyone who actually lives a comfortable life, they will tell you it is all about hard work. In essence, effort equals results. As with anything, results are never guaranteed. There are too many factors involved, such as business experience, expertise, and most importantly, effort. If you are a hands-on type of person, you can succeed and these programs may be for you. Here is a simple guideline to help ensure your success:

  • You can get rich, but it takes real work.
  • These resources are at your fingertips, you just need the information.
  • There are people out there that have had exceptional results and others that have nothing. Can you guess which one worked harder?
  • If the fact that some fail and some succeed is true, then realizing that your effort and ambition is the most important part of your success should excite you.

EARNINGS AND INCOME DISCLAIMER
Like I said already, some of the incomes given as examples on this site are very high. Those individuals put a lot of effort into their work. Not everyone will attain these levels. However, even with a little real effort, profitability is easy. As with any business, your results may vary, and will be based on your individual capacity, business experience, expertise, and how much work you put in. There are no guarantees concerning the level of success you may experience. The testimonials and examples used are exceptional results, which do not apply to the average purchaser, and are not intended to represent or guarantee that anyone will achieve the same or similar results. Each individual’s success depends on his or her background, dedication, desire and motivation.

There is no assurance that examples of past earnings can be duplicated in the future. I cannot guarantee your future results and/or success. There are some unknown risks in business and on the Internet that we cannot foresee which can reduce results. Remember, even things we assume as constants don’t always remain so. I am not responsible for your actions.

To summarise: how much you earn is completely up to the amount of effort you put in. If you don’t put in the effort you won’t earn anything. If you do put in the effort you can potentially earn a good part time or full time income.

In addition, this site focuses on Internet marketing, online business, pay per click advertising, affiliate networks, web hosting, ezine marketing, and subscription email advertising. However, this, in no way, should dissuade you from using these valuable techniques for other businesses. The references in the step by step guide are experts in their fields. We can always learn from experts, no matter your focus.

How to Utilize Internet Marketing

August 28th, 2006

Below is a list of the best Internet marketing courses available. This list is far from comprehensive, but only includes what I consider the best sources available.

Internet marketing is a term used to describe the use of the Internet to promote a business. Most businesses that utilize Internet marketing are indeed Internet businesses, but obviously not all. Cell phone companies, long distance service companies, and electronics companies are examples of companies that are not Internet based. However, your business is probably going to be Internet oriented or chances are, you wouldn’t be here.

There is so much that goes into Internet marketing, that I couldn’t possibly go over everything without literally writing a book. There are, however, some excellent resources below that will give you as much detail as you can handle.

Marketing Expertise - Corey Rudl’s comprehensive marketing package is the masterpiece by which all other Internet marketing programs are measured. It doesn’t get better than this when it comes to providing smart, useful information.

Making Your Site Sell - Ken Evoy has put together an excellent manual with well over 1000 pages of quality information. It is much lower priced than any other manual I found. This information is very valuable. This manual is what inspired my journey into making money online. You must take this guy’s word for it. He has made more money than most!

Internet Success Blueprint - Neil Shearing, one of the most successful Internet marketers, wrote this detailed how-to on Internet success. Step-by-step instructions for having a successful Internet business.

Site building software does everything for you

On top of everything I just recommended, there is one package that tops just about anything out there when it comes to getting your Internet business up and running. Site Build It is a software package that has everything including domain registration, domain hosting, submission to search engines, as well as optimizing your web pages for search engines so that they will be at or near the top. There is really much more in Site Build It than I can say here. You really should take a serious look at this, especially if you are a beginner at this.

Deleted Domains

You might get lucky with the domain you were looking for, but if you are like most of us, you will find out that most common word domains are simply gone. Fortunately, domains expire by the thousands every day. DeletedDomains.com is a really cool resource for finding great domains that have just expired. Best part: It’s free. Ripe for the picking!

Making Your Website - Straight Forward Info On Getting Your Website Started

August 28th, 2006

You can save an unbelievable amount of money by following some of the tips I have outlined below.

You really have two options for creating your new site. You can either hire a professional programmer or you can do it yourself. If you go with a programmer, just keep in mind that most of them will want to charge big bucks ( $3000 or more) to do your site. And once it is built, any changes needed will once again have to be hired out, costing even more money. However, if you pick a good programmer, you will probably have a site that is well thought out and professional looking.

On the other hand, you can save some big cash if you do it yourself. It really doesn’t take as long as you might think. You could have a site designed and ready in as little as a few day’s work. If you have absolutely no knowledge on how to build a site, I would recommend getting a software package that will do it all for you. As I have mentioned before, Site Build It is, hands down, the best comprehensive software package for putting up your own website. You don’t need to know any HTML and is capable of doing just about everything else you need to get up and running. Site Build It can:

  • Register your domain name
  • Host your website
  • Optimize your web pages for search engines
  • Keep excellent stats for your site traffic

Basically, by using Site Build It, you get to skip several steps, such as setting up an account with a registrar (like GoDaddy.com), learning how to use FTP, programming in HTML, setting up and paying for a hosting account separately, because Site Build It has all these features built in. If you want a nice overview of Site Build It, go here.

It is very important to gear your website for making money. Looking nice and pretty will do nothing for you if the site does not make you money. Making the site easy to navigate is critical. So is making the explanations and purchasing of your product extremely clear. Just remember, there is nothing wrong with making the site look professional and pretty, as long as that does not get in the way of producing results. As a matter of fact, the aesthetics of your site may be it’s strongest attraction if your product is a high dollar item such as jewelry or leather goods, etc. But always, ALWAYS, make sure that it sells before anything else.

Programming For Hire

August 28th, 2006

You can save an unbelievable amount of money by following some of the tips I have outlined below.

Elance - By far, Elance is the most well known freelance professional services Internet site. The programming is typically top knotch. Their system allows for yo to select a programmer not just by bid, but by experience and portfolio. It is a little more expensive that some of the other sites out there, but it may be worth it in the end.

Scriptlance - Another excellent source for professional programming. Their pricing is much more competitive and may be your best bet for quick coding on your website.

Rentacoder - This resource has an extensive list of coders at your disposal. Again, you can place a project out for bid, usually at a reasonable price, and coders bid on your project.

I know that I keep bringing this up, but I have to recommend Site Build It once again. This software will allow you to skip trying to code the site yourself or hiring someone to do it for you. If you are a beginner at this kind of thing, I especially recommend it because it will allow you to avoid all the technicalities of putting up your own site. Site Build It can’t be beat, especially considering how much time and money it can save you. Again, this software will do the domain registration, domain hosting, search engine submission, website creation, optimization of your website to get you to the top of the search engines, and much more.

Getting Hits - How to Get Thousands of Quality Visitors

August 28th, 2006

There are so many ways of getting visitors to your site. However, you must be careful to focus on getting the right kind of visitors. Below are some of the most proven techniques to getting the visitors you need. The more of these techniques you use, the more likely you are to succeed.

Getting links from other sites - Other sites sending you visitors for free. It doesn’t get cheaper than this. In addition, chances are, these are visitors from a related site meaning they are probably quality visitors. Click here for more info on getting links.

Pay Per Click search engines - This is an extremely effective way of getting quality visitors. These ads are targeted at people looking for your product or related to your product. Of course these premium visitors come at a price. For more information on pay per click search engines click here.

Ezine Marketing - Ezines are electronic magazines distibuted on the Internet. Be sure to pick one that has readers that would be interested in your product or service. Sometimes you can write articles for the Ezine in exchange for advertising. Click here more more information on ezine marketing.

Get to the top of the search engines - Getting a top 10 listing on Internet search engines is your best bet for great targeting visitors. Click here for more info on how to get top 10 listings with the search engines.

Marketing in newsgroups and forums - This is probably the most difficult and most time consuming of marketing techniques. They are also free. I don’t recommend this as your primary way of getting visitors, but it is probably an excellent way if you don’t wish to spend any money. For more information on newsgroups click here.

Best Products for the Internet

August 28th, 2006

Below is an outline for deciding on what product or service you will be trying to sell or market. Although you don’t have to heed the advice below, it can greatly increase your chances of succeeding on the Internet and, most of all, make you money.

Here are three extremely important factors in your decision about the product or service you are trying to make money with:

  • Is this something you will enjoy working with?
  • Is this something people will be willing to pay money for?
  • What is the competition like for this product/service?

The first question is up to you. Although it isn’t absolutely necessary to enjoy working with your offering, it drastically increases your chances of success. This is especially true if you get a slow start. Nothing like making little or no money in the beginning to take away your excitement in your new venture.

The second question is very important. You can’t make money on something that people just, franky, aren’t willing to pay for. A good way to to do some research on this is to ask people you know that might be part of your target audience. Make sure that they would be willing to pay for this product rather than ask them if they like this product. After all, I see many things that I like every day, but do I buy them. Not usually.

Another good way to research this is to do a keyword search at google to see what people are searching for. If people are not searching for your product, there probably isn’t much demand for it. Also, here is a site that I strongly recommend for search engine advertising. The site is wordtracker.com. They do have a free trial that you can use to get started. Wordtracker.com can show you how your site holds up in keyword searches and helps you optimize your selections. This is invaluable if you intend to do any advertising with Google.com, which I STRONGLY recommend.

Lastly, you need to have some awareness of the competition for this product or service. Try doing another search on Google.com for your product. What are the first 10 or so sites listed? Are they competitors to your product/service? You may want to leverage your results by differentiating yourself in some way from their offerings that will allow you to stand out.

Affiliate Networks

August 28th, 2006

By joining Affiliate networks you open yourself up to a whole world of money making opportunities. Advertising on your site can possibly generate as much money as your original product! Affiliate networks basically handle the advertising for multiple clients. You as the web publisher choose from the advertising programs and offer the ad on your website. You then get commissions if people pay or sign up for the services, depending on what programs you choose.

Adreporting.com - This affiliate network has many offers to choose from to put on your new website. Sign up is free.

Commission Junction - One of the largest affiliate networks on the Internet. They handle some of the biggest (and richest) clients on the Internet. Very diverse client array. Literally thousands upon thousands of choices and payouts.

Linkshare - Also one of the largest affiliate networks available. There is no reason to only join one affiliate program.

I do want to make sure that I mention some of the more successful, but lesser known, affiliate networks:

AllPosters.com - Posters are extremely populare items, especially when it comes to Internet sales. Add a link or two to your site to cash in on their demand. Some of these affiliates earn over $2000 per month, with their top affiliate earning a whopping $5000 per month.

VMCSatellite - Satellite television is the fastest growing segment of television broadcast because of the incredible setup deals and the variety of their offerings, including HDTV. Cash in on a service that literally anyone that has a place to live would be interested in. Their top affiliate earns 6 figures.

Real Casinos - This website will help you find the best online casinos with affiliate programs. They review every last one that has high quality and bonus payouts.

Affiliates That Make Real Money

August 28th, 2006

You have to be careful about which affiliate programs you choose to use on your site. Some affiliate networks and programs are very lucrative. But picking the right one is critical to making money through these types of situations.

Firstly, you should pick a program that promotes items related to the content of your site. For instance, programs that sell car wax would be great for a site about or for cars. But you probably wouldn’t use a program that sells fingernail polish on that same site. This is especially important if you do not yet have many visitors. Every visitor will count in those situations and you might as well increase your odds of a sale by promoting programs related to your content.

How do you know which affiliate programs make the most money?

Like I said, with a low traffic site, picking the right affiliate program is essential to your money making success. This doesn’t apply so much for the high traffic sites. They can make money from just about any program strictly through sheer volume alone. The numbers are in their favor (a nice thing to aspire to, by the way!)

Here are a few things to look for in a good affiliate program:

  • Look for at least $30 per sale or signup. You’ll want as much profit from each sale as possible, and really, it will take this much to be worth it.
  • The product has to be top-notch. You need to be able to back up this product. You do NOT want your visitors to feel like they are being scammed, especially by you!
  • Lifetime commissions are very nice programs. Imagine if you can continue to make money on people you referred years ago. Free money! SiteSell continues to make money for me from customers I sent there last year.
  • Information products are excellent choices for Affiliate products. No matter your market, usually there is someone out there selling information on related products, and they usually have high commissions, 40% or more.

If you have not yet decided what you want to promote/sell on the Internet, I have a tip page for you to look at here.

Can you be a little more specific about which programs to choose?

OK. I wasn’t being vague intentionally. You just need to know the rationale behind the decision making process.

The best affiliate networks are:

Commission Junction – Probably the biggest affiliate network at this time.

Linkshare – Not as big as Commission Junction, but some very big dollar clients.

AdReporting – Still a very large affiliate network, has some huge commissions.

Look for the high commission Internet products

In general, the highest commission products on the Internet are:

  • Credit Cards
  • Web Hosting
  • Office Supplies
  • Software Products
  • Mortgages

Remember, these are extremely competitive areas on the web, and will be difficult to lure traffic to your site for these. This list is by no means, all you have to choose from.

No Money No Problem

August 28th, 2006

Internet businesses are very different from brick and mortal businesses. It is much less costly to do an Internet business. I can’t even think of any kind of business that would require less investment. Below are some tips on how to start your Internet business with little or no money.

Let me start off by warning you about starting your business. It is very possible to start your business without money. However, it is almost impossible to start your Internet business without real work. Just so I am clear about this:

YOU NEED TO PUT EFFORT INTO YOUR NEW BUSINESS.

This is not playtime. This is work. Treat it as such and you can be successful. If this is a passing whim, this is not for you.

That said, below are some tips for starting your Internet business with little or no money:

  • You need to find out absolutely everything you can possibly get your hands on about Internet marketing. Without Internet marketing, your site has almost no chance to succeed. For more information on this try doing a Google search for Internet marketing or go to SiteSell (they do have a risk free trial), which I of course highly recommend.
  • Free website hosting is available at FreeServers.com and others. These sites are extremely limited and usually require that you place an ad of their choice on your website. I highly recommend that you spend the $8 or so on quality hosting. You can find more info on that by clicking here.
  • You will need to learn how to build a website. Without software, this will be difficult, but not impossible. Go to HTMLGoodies to learn how to do this free. I must recommend using SiteBuildIt again, although it would not be free.
  • Use affiliate programs that make you money. More info on that here.
  • Increase your traffic with search engines, ezine marketing, and getting links from other sites. All of these suggestions take some effort. Don’t be deterred by this.

Chances are, if you are reading this, you are here because you want to make money, MORE money than you already have. It can be done. It just takes effort. If you really had to, you could do it without any money by following the information above.

Traffic Means Revenue

August 28th, 2006

Just like any business, you need potential customers. Indeed, you need as many potential customers as you can possibly get. You also need customers that are interested in what you have. Below, I have outlined some of the best techniques for maximizing the traffic to your site as well as maximizing the quality of that traffic. If you have both quantity and quality, it will be difficult to fail!

Get Links from Other Sites - You need other sites to support your site through links. Here is how to do it.

EZine Marketing - You need quality visitors. Here you’ll find out how to get targeted visitors.

Get Hits with Pay Per Click Advertising - Visitors click on links specifically about your site. This is the essence of pay per click adverstising. The best part about it? These ads only run in places that are relevant to your site. Talk about quality visitors!

Get Number One on Search Engines - You want to be listed first on search engines if at all possible. Here is how to get there.

Track Visitors to Your Site - Free counters are not all they’re cracked up to be. Look here for better methods and some good advice.

Getting Links From Other Sites

August 28th, 2006

Links, in whatever form available, are your key to getting traffic. Not only do they get you visitors, but they help you in search engine rankings. Below are some explanations on how to get links to your website as well as information on how search engines work and why links to your website helps your search engine standing.

How Links From Other Sites Improve Your Search Engine Standing

You might or might not know that having links to your website is probably the most important factor in getting a high ranking in search engines. Basically the search engine technology of today ranks your page high or low depending on the number of links on the Internet to your website. But what most people don’t know is that the QUALITY of those links is just as important as the quantity.

For instance, if you link to a poor quality site, or if you link to illegitimate websites, this will hurt your search engine ranking severely. This is why you must choose wisely when deciding who to link to on your page.

In summary, get as many links to your site as possible, but only link to high quality sites.

How To Find The Quality Sites

There are several ways to find good quality sites to link to you. Use these simple methods for finding them:

  • I highly recommend this piece of software called the Internet Success Spider. This software will show you how to find those high quality sites AND how to get them to link to your site.
  • Remember that you want high ranking sites to link to you. An easy way to find these is to do a quick Google search for the keyword you are interested in. Check out the top 10 listings for those keywords and see if they would be a good match for your site.

How To Get These Websites To Link To Yours

Here is a great way to get them to link to your site for free:

  • Put a link on your website that links back to theirs.
  • Email the site owner and tell them you have placed a link to their site on your own ( make sure to include a link to the specific placement ). Tell the owner why having cooperating links will be beneficial for both of you.
  • Explain where you think a link to your website should be placed.

Usually, site owners will jump all over this. In order to cut down on the amount of time you will have to invest finding some of these qualities, remember to use the Internet Success Spider software. This software is a lifesaver when it comes to this kind of project.

Other Tactics For Getting Links To Your Website

  • Phone or fax website owners directly. Just because this is an Internet business doesn’t mean you can’t call or fax them. People pay attention when they are called or faxed.
  • You MUST individual all contact with these websites. Otherwise it will look like a form letter. What do you usually do with form letters? Trash.
  • Make sure your site has good quality content. This is a must in order make sure that it is an easy decision for them to add that link.
  • Use a template letter to save time when emailing or faxing, BUT make sure that you individualize it.

Ezine Marketing

August 28th, 2006

Ezines can be very powerful. Ezines are newsletters that have been subscribed to by interested readers. If you can find an ezine related to your product or service, this can be an invaluable resource for you. I have outlined some tips to ezine marketing.

Ezines Provide A Target Rich Environment For Your Product

Firstly, you need to find an ezine that is actually read. If nobody reads the ezine, your advertising just simply won’t work. With good readership, and quality content, your advertising is at least getting to people’s eyes. Additionally, you need to make sure the ezine has an audience that would be interested in your product. This sounds elementary, but you would be shocked at how many people make the mistake of putting effort into the wrong channels.

This isn’t all. The next section deals with picking the proper ezine and advertising in it properly.

Picking The Right Ezine and Advertising Properly

If you choose to do ezine marketing, follow these steps to help ensure effective actions and positive results:

  • Make sure the ezine is good quality. Probably the best way to do this would be to read it yourself, maybe subscribe so that you can see and read it for yourself. Ask yourself if you would read it. If not, don’t do it. If yes, then…
  • Find out info about the ezine such as it’s subscriber base, article acceptance, and advertising costs.
  • Make sure that the ezine only has a few ads. If there are too many ads, what is the point of being lost in commercials?
  • Ask the editor or write of the ezine if they can mention your product in the newsletter. These are the best kinds of ezine advertising because it doesn’t seem like an advertisement. This will make more people take your product seriously. This is standard practice in all advertising mediums, not just the Internet. The editor might refuse, but if you offer a sample of your product or service for free, they might accept.
  • If there is any way at all possible, see if you can get your advertisement at or near the top. The further down the newsletter that your ad appears, the less likely it is to be read.
  • If you offer to write an article for an ezine, this might be an excellent way to promote your product or service. Sometimes the most welcome advice is straight from the maker of the product or service!

Getting Hits With Pay Per Click Advertising

August 28th, 2006

Successful sites use pay per click advertising. Getting an advertising account set up is extremely fast (usually only a few minutes). Once you have an account set up, your ads will begin serving almost immediately.

Getting an advertising account with Google.

Most people don’t know this, but Google is recognized with driving 70% of all Internet traffic. Imagine that. Wouldn’t it be nice if you could start advertising with one partner that is involved with 70% of all Internet traffic. You can do just that. In addition, it is so simple and so fast you will hardly believe you have just partnered up with such a powerful company.

Getting Listed

Here is what you do. First go to www.adwords.com. Adwords is the advertising medium on Google. You know all the ads you see on the right side of the screen when you do a search on Google? Those are Adwords advertisers. Some of those advertisers pay upwards of $15 to place an ad. But you can go as low as 5¢. As a matter of fact, I wouldn’t recommend going much higher unless you know how much you gain on average from each visitor. Once you have an account, you select words that people might search for when they are looking for your product, and bid on them. Google will tell you where your average listing ranking will be depending on your bid amount and competition. Once you have created your ad, Google will begin serving it when people search for the ‘Adwords’ you selected. Every time someone clicks on your ad, you will be charged your bid amount or lower (depending on what your competitors bid for the same Adwords).

Don’t underestimate the power of pay per click advertising. Google took a risk in doing their advertising this way and it has paid off for both Google and the consumer. It has made advertising and Internet businesses accessible to the every day Joe.

Google Cash

I did want to make sure to drop in this note about a program called Google Cash. Google Cash allows you to basically place ads on Google using adwords to sell other people’s products. You don’t even have to have a store or website to do this. No inventory. Nothing. You just place ads and make commissions from the sales that result. Sounds easy doesn’t it? Well it’s not easy to get more money out than you put in, unless, you have this program. Basically it shows you how to maximize your sales per click to the point that every $.05 ad is pulling in hundreds of dollars. If you would like to order Google Cash, click here.

Get Number One On Search Engines

August 28th, 2006

If your site has any value at all, you will probably get a listing on the major search engines. This is standard. But in order to take advantage of the power of search engines, you really want to be listed in the top ten. With Google, the technology is programmed to analyze your site for content. If your content is not valuable, it will list you low because chances are, people will find that your site is not what they are looking for. In essence this makes Google a better search engine than most others because the highest listings are usually the most relevant.

Pick One Factor That Gets You To The Top

This is a difficult one. As I already said, content is king with Google. However, there is one other thing that might be more significant. Good quality links to and from your site. The search engine technology builds a ranking system that analyzes links to and from your site. Depending on the quality and quantity of those links, Google assigns you a ranking that helps it determine your final listing rank. Getting Number One With Pay Per Click Advertising

These days, most people trying to make money through their websites are advertising. Good or bad, a paid advertisement will often get you straight to the top depending on your strategy. The disadvantage of getting to the top with links and content is that you have to wait for the search engines to examine your site. This could take anywhere from days to weeks, or even months. With pay per click advertising, you can get to the top almost instantaneously. For more information on pay per click advertising, click here.

Your best bet is to make sure that both your content and your links have value and quality. Combine that with a little pay per click advertising and you have an unbeatable solution.

Capitalizing On Visitors

August 27th, 2006

Once you have traffic, your duty as a successful businessperson is not yet over. You have to be able to capitalize on your visitors. If they visit and they are confused about what they need to do in order to give you money, you just won’t get any. Pay per click ads and shopping carts are essential to making sure your customers are paying customers. Take a look through these sections to help you maximize your revenue from your new customers.

Visitors for 5 Cents from Search Engines - You don’t need (or want) to pay more than 5 Cents for visitors to your page. Here you can find out how this is accomplished.

Accept Payments For Your Products Online

August 27th, 2006

If you have a product or service to offer, you simply cannot do business on the Internet if you do not have way to accept payment immediately. This means you need to be able to accept credit cards. Without credit cards you are missing out on probably 95% of all Internet sales.

3rd Party Payment Processing

The easiets way to accept payment (credit cards) online is to use a 3rd party payment processor. These are companies and services that handle all of your credit card orders without you being involved. These serve an extremely important function on the Internet because:

  • Not everyone can get a merchant account on their own.
  • Easy to set up. Can literally take minutes.
  • Typically there is no fee to have the service. You only pay when someone purchases a product through them.

ClickBank - You can use this service to get your payment processing for electronic products or services started in only minutes. Also, they have a wide base of affiliates that can help sell your product. They will handle all of the commissions too. I highly recommend this service because they handle all of the credit card processing and supply you with a virtual army of affiliates, professional marketers and promoters, right from the start. I make a nice sum of money every month from ClickBank, both promoting products, and selling my own.

PayPal - Accepting payments using Paypal will allow you accept credit cards for almost the same rate as true merchant accounts, but without all the hassle and credit checks. Their rate is around 2.2% plus 30 cents per transaction, very competitive. As you can tell, I really like this option when you are starting out or if you need to sell physical goods (as opposed to electronic goods).

Merchant Accounts

Merchant accounts are much more advantageous when you are doing a high volume of transactions. I don’t recommend doing this at first. Many times there are term commitments, etc. that make this difficult to do unless you have already established your business. Do a Google search for the best ones.

How to Get Visitors for 5 Cents From Search Engines

August 27th, 2006

There is a large amount of competition out there, including on search engine advertising. Keywords advertising can be a very costly way to advertise. But it doesn’t have to be. Below, I have outlined how to get visitors, targeted visitors, to your website for 5 cents each.

Getting Visitors From Google for 5 Cents

This tutorial assumes you understand the ins and outs of pay per click advertising. If you don’t, click here.

To start off, you need to ensure you have done all of the necessary research on the keywords you intend to use to attract visitors to your website. This means you will want to find every combination of keywords that people might use to get to your website. A good (and free) tool to use is the Search Term Suggestion Tool from Overture. Click on the link on the right when you go to that page. This free tool will automatically make relevant suggestions for you. It not only helps you with combinations you hadn’t thought about, but will give you some other words that people also search for in conjuction with the terms you selected. Nobody knows better than they do when it comes to knowing what is usually searched for.

The Search Term Suggestion Tool, isn’t the only thing out there. An even better tool to use, although it is not free, is the Wordtracker Tool. The Wordtracker Tool offers incredible insight, something that nothing else can touch. It can give you suggestions in word trends and relevancy that are unmatched in the industry. For just a little cash, this might be a worthwhile tool for you.

Once you have a list of keywords, you should have plenty among them that are going for 5 cents each on Google Adwords. Some of these may not get many impressions or clicks, but they will be targeted and still cost you only 5 cents.

There is one more extremely important thing I wanted to show you. You may wonder where I got these great tips or how I got my hands on this information. This program is where I first got into learining how to optimize my keyword selection so that I could get visitors for $.05. What I have shared with you is only the tip of the iceberg. There is so much more that goes into this. This program will have visitors streaming to your site and it is all very easily explained. Think about this. Some experts say that if you do pay per click advertising, you should be bidding on over 500 keywords. Bidding on the wrong ones, or for the wrong price could cost thousands. This program shows you how to do it and save all of that money. At least check it out to see if it interests you. Click here for more information.

What Websites Make Real Money

August 27th, 2006

Using common sense is the best and easiest way to find out what websites are making money. The key here is NOT to copy their website, but to copy the idea that is making money for their website.

How Do You Find These Profitable Sites?

First, let’s be clear here. What I am talking about are affiliate sites. We are looking for sites that make a ton of money. Once we find out what sites those are we are going to look for ones that have affiliate programs.

Let me explain a bit further. If you do a search with a Google Adwords account or using Overture, you will see that webhosts are paying nearly $6.00 for a click. Think about that. They must be making a ton of money in order to be able to pay $6.00 for every visitor that comes to the site. Another way to think about it is this: They are making at least $6.00 for every person that comes to their site. That is an incredible amount of money, especially for some of the higher volume webhosts! This means that if some of these webhosts have affiliate programs, they are probably paying top dollar for signups to their affiliates.

Here is another example. Do the same search for long distance phone service. Right now, you will see that they are getting just over $2.00 per click. Another nice sum. I’ll bet there are lots of affiliate programs out there from these long distance service providers.

One more example. Online Casinos. They are currently paying over $7.00 per click. Yikes. These folks must be making money hand over fist from their visitors. I’ll bet some nice affiliate programs are out there for this market too.

Lastly, but very importantly, it is essential to remember that these are extremely competitive markets. Meaning, although these are top payers for affiliate programs, you will run into stiff competition trying to get those commissions. By no means, do I mean to deter you from trying these out. I am just recommending that you start somewhere a little less competitive. Start by doing some brainstorming about services that many people will need and go from there. Your affiliate program choice, or choices, should be something that you can compete in as well as start cheap.
