Free Internet Marketing Sources
You will have to pay for the best resources on the Internet. But if you are smart, you can still find some free resources that measure up. I have taken the time to put together a list of some of the most valuable resources, all for free:
Don’t be deterred by the fact that some of these sources are free trial and pay later. You can always cancel out before having to pay.
- Link Popularity Checker – Here you can find out how many links are coming to your site as well as any site out there. Invaluable if you are going to measure the success (or lack thereof) of your marketing strategy.
- DeletedDomains.com – Useful when you are looking for a domain. These recently expired domains are yours for the taking, and some of them may have residual traffic.
- Wordtracker – Use this tool to find out how many people were searching for your product or service. Remember, you can get the trial portion of the site without paying anything.
- Overture Term Suggestion Tool – This is an outstanding tool for using keywords. This will help you when you advertise using Overture or Google. When you go to this page, click on “Search Term Suggestion Tool” on the right.
- AnyBrowser.com – Use this tool to find out if your site shows up OK in any number of browsers and resolution settings.
- Google Toolbar – This is by far, one of the neatest tools available for free on the Internet today. Use it to do a quick search right from your current browser window. Saves time. Lots of it.
- LinkExchanged - Here is a good (and free) way to get quick links back to your site.
- Free Sticky – This site can help you get all sorts of free content.
- Pedsters Planet Website Directory - A keyword-driven website directory, includes a search box and the ability to submit your site to their directory.
